As an avid fabric enthusiast, a blog about quilts and all things fabric just seemed the obvious thing to do.

Orca Bay Mystery Quilt Step 2

What a project! The 72 little 3.5" string blocks went together rather quickly for the Orca Bay Mystery Quilt and filled the trash can with paper. (You should see the floor!)
The dark color is GREEN not BLACK.  It was interesting to see these come together. Here is what the whole stack looks like all trimmed up to size.

Can't wait to see what Bonnie has in store for us this coming Friday.

  1. Great job getting them all done - your picture looks like you sewed them two at a time on different machines - how funny!!

  2. I'm doing mine in green as well...though not quite as bright as yours! This was a quick step for a Bonnie mystery...expecting to get slammed on the next one!

  3. Great job getting those string blocks completed! Sorry to hear about the floor :-) At least you have some time to excavate before Friday.

  4. Ohh your green is great! I'm using green as Bonnie's red, pink as her blue and purple as her black. Weren't these string blocks fun to make?! And they're adorable!

  5. I'm loving the greens. I used to think I wasn't crazy about greens, but the more I see the more I lite.
